Crédito y Caución incorporates technology in its business processes since 1965. In the mid nineties, Crédito y Caución addressed the development of the current Automated Decision System. As a result, currently 90% of transactions are dealt with automatically. The system is based in the inter-relationships of independent modules, of which there are currently eight, which can be readapted in real time to the changing market. The last module incorporated is the scoring module, the purpose of which is, on the basis of historical data of Crédito y Caución, to estimate the probability of a company not meeting its payment obligations in the following year. In 2004, Crédito y Caución became the first Spanish company to incorporate the electronic signature to its documents; this provides full legal certainty to electronic responses to risk assessment petitions by the insured parties
